John Richards presenteert zijn ideeën over 'dirty electronics' door middel van de praktische constructie van een DIY electronisch instrument: de Skull Etching. Deze Skull Etching combineert een kunstzinnige printplaat met electronica tot een uniek muziek-instrument. Hoewel de electronica van dit instrument slechts bestaat uit één geïntegreerd circuit, beschikt het over twee oscillators, distortion, feedback en meer. Instant noise on a shoestring!
The Animazauner Electroniks A/V Lab neemt je mee terug in het verleden van de electronica met als doel een 'cyberpunk technatural' toekomst te creeëren. Christian Zollner and Víctor Mazón Gardoqui experimenteren met geluid, licht en video. Hierbij maken ze gebruik van gerecycled afvalmateriaal, electronica, zonnepaneeltjes, fotocellen, diodes, motors en zelfgemaakte cicuits. In de geest van de DIY cultuur van de jaren '80.Gijs Gieskes and Karl Klomp zijn pioniers op het gebied van circuit bending. Verbouw je Barbie of Game Boy tot een futuristische Soundtoy!
Alle workshops zullen worden afgesloten met optredens tijdens het festival.
Het workshopprogramma vindt plaats op de Oude Markt in Enschede. Alle workshops zijn gratis toegankelijk (inclusief materialen), maar er kan slechts een beperkt aantal mensen deelnemen.

John Richards presents a number of key ideas relating to dirty electronics through the practical construction of a DIY electronic instrument from scratch: the Skull Etching. The Skull Etching combines etched artwork and electronics into a unique touch instrument. The electronics for the instrument utilise just one integrated circuit (IC), yet the instrument features two oscillators, distortion, feedback network, filter and interference/hum/radio. Instant noise on a shoestring!
The Animazauner Electroniks A/V Lab shows you a journey to the past of electronics, to design a cyberpunk technatural future. Christian Zollner and Víctor Mazón Gardoqui experiment with sound, light and video, using different objects like recycled trash materials, electronics, solar panels, photoresistors, photodiodes, motors and self made circuits, with the DIY spirit of the 80's punk scene!
Gijs Gieskes and Karl Klomp are Dutch pioneers of circuit bending. Transform your Barbie or Game Boy into a futuristic Soundtoy!
For sure, the workshops will culminate in group performances during the GOGBOT festival.
The workshop program is located at main venue of the GOGBOT Festival in the center of Enschede. All workshops are free (materials included), but have a maximum number of participants.
